Ranking your clinic in search engines like Google to get more website traffic requires laying the groundwork with an effective SEO strategy and an optimized website. I'll lay out an example SEO strategy here for medical spa SEO.
First, it's important to know what people are searching for in your area that is relevant to your practice. This will give you a gameplan to group your keywords into target landing pages.
Make sure that your medspa address is in the city that you want to rank in. Decide on a specific NAP format (Name, Address, and Phone number) to consistently optimize all of your web properties with. You will use the exact same NAP for each of your locations on your website and on all of your local citations.
Your website must be highly optimized and functional, with a landing page for every service you provide. If you have a plastic surgery practice, you would have a page for each plastic surgery procedure you perform. If you have an aesthetic practice, providing things like laser hair removal and microblading, you would have a page with optimized content for each of those services.
You will use both your keyword research plus the knowledge of your services to create SEO-friendly content for each of these pages.
Your homepage should link to each of your service pages, as should your navigation menu. If you have a blog with blog posts, relevant posts should also link back to the specific services they discuss.
Each page should be focused on its individual topic - do not keyword stuff all of your topics onto every page.
Make sure that your NAP is listed on your website.
If you're a single location medspa, it should be listed in your footer and on your contact page, using Local SCHEMA markup, which is code behind the scenes that tells Google exactly where you're located, and strengthens your location relevance. You should also embed a map of your actual GMB (Google My Business) listing.
If you have multiple medical spa locations, you will have an individual contact/location page for each practice address. The specific NAP format you have chosen for each location should be on the location's specific page, and that page should be optimized for the search terms of that geography. You will still only have one set of service pages to support all of the locations.
Google My Business, or GMB for short, is Google's version of local business listings. This listing is what shows up at the top of search results sometimes for local searches. That area, where a map and a few businesses are listed, is called the "snack pack."
It's important to make sure your medspa's Google My Business listing is set up, verified, and optimized. Optimization means adding your correct website and the optimized NAP you have already decided on for that location. It also means selecting the right category for your aesthetic practice, and adding complete, relevant descriptions and photos.
Once you have your foundations set up properly, it's important to keep them updated with the regular changes that Google rolls out (they roll out numerous algorithm updates each year), and to continue local SEO promotion through brand-building, citation building with your consistent NAP details, linkbuilding, and content updates.
Any opportunity that you have to build local links or list your business information on a trusted website should be taken advantage of.
You should also keep your website updated with fresh, great content to impress both vsitors and search engines.
